Lately Ive been
hearing much about gun shootings on the news, whether in schools or on
the streets. Three
of these poems address firearms and society, knowing all too well that
the two will never come together in harmony. Although most of my writing
can
come
off as darkish,
I try to follow up each condition with a moral, trying to elude the darkness
from the realism we have to face in our living world.
Being a highly sexual person in my personal life, I find that it tends
to roll over into my fictional world; the other two poems here reflect
the sexual
references
that keep me close to saneness. Ironically a shooting takes place
in all these poems; Ill leave it to your imagination to figure how.
