P.H. Madore’s Comments
I wrote these poems while living in an abandoned church in Washington, D.C., shortly after vacating the city of Athens, Georgia. My demeanor has not changed. I was also in love with a woman named Jennifer who did not reciprocate, and my fellow D.C. anarchists were letting me starve. I guess I can’t blame starvation on others. Since then I have lived in Pennsylvania and have settled in Baltimore, Maryland, and have fallen in and out of love once or twice. And on and on.
