Why the Music Makes Us Cry
Paul Hostovsky

I thought it was just me until my Aunt Hannah
said no it wasn’t just me it was just
everybody thinking it’s just them until
the music saying it’s everybody it’s everybody
gets inside our heads and we nod our heads
in agreement with the music saying it’s everybody
it’s everybody it’s everybody and we know it’s so
we nod our heads to the music because we know it’s so
and it’s so sad to think we thought it wasn’t
and it’s so sad to think we will think that again
when the music ends we will think that again
and we shake our heads no at the thought of that
we shake our heads because the music is saying it’s everybody
and that’s when the tears start because we know it’s so
