Erin Fitzgerald’s Comments

My purpose in writing fiction has always been to understand the nonfictional world. Most of the time, it doesn’t work. For reasons that are unknown to me, some events over the last two years of my life tightened the connection between those worlds for a brief while. In the end, my understanding was the same as it has always been. That is much more comforting to me than it is disappointing.
