My Fish Is a Fan of Elwood P. Dowd
Elizabeth P. Glixman

“If Elwood P. Dowd is crazy I don’t want to be sane.”

We walked into Petco
The fish and I
He was on a leash
so tiny no one noticed
him except Elwood aka Jimmy Stewart
and the rabbit.
Harvey was used to not being seen
Who sees a 6 foot 3 inch rabbit?
but people like Elwood and a few
other saintly souls
Elwood told my fish he was
quite handsome
The whole exchange was inspiring
considering James Stewart is long
gone from the world or so everyone
thinks and Elwood never existed
except in the minds of
people who worked at Universal Studios
and Sylvia Browne or John Edward
