In a million years, I never thought I’d find a home for these stories, so I am grateful to FRiGG, for having that sweet wrong bone required to care about the people (or dogs, or boobs) in these small scenes. “The Doghouse” and “Faith” were both written during the NaPoWriMo Challenge (30 poems in 30 days for the month of April) but I realized they needed to be fleshed out a little more, and given longer teeth. I often switch between micro/short stories and prose/poems, and many times my short stories wind up getting pared down into poems, so when a poem actually graduates into a short story, it is a lot more gratifying for me, because I have always been a storyteller first.
