On Writing
Writing can be a mystical process for me. Sometimes I feel as though I enter a sacred place, transcending time and self. As emotions are being transmuted on the page, I can feel fragmented, euphoric, or anyplace in between.
On Poetry
This poetry is part of a larger body of work written to honor the humanities. “The Dead Syphilitics’ Society” poem inspired a novella I’m writing with the same name. I’m working on other writing as well.
