Kevin Spaide’s Comments

Well, not much has changed since I wrote my comments about the last three stories of this series around a year ago. (If, for some odd reason, you’re interested in the full saga regarding the agonizing genesis of these stories, check out those previous comments.) I never recovered the lost files, which is probably a good thing. After rewriting everything I don’t know what I would have done if the originals had suddenly come back to me. Shaved my head, I guess.

But one thing has changed. I’ve been writing a novel about a man who suddenly transforms into a monster. It’s pretty good, I think. Sometimes, though, I need a break from it and so I drop in on Cara and her friend, the narrator. I’ve written a few more of their stories—and in maybe the 50th one, Cara finally gets around to addressing the narrator by her name! It was quite the moment. I’d honestly had no idea what her name was until Cara said it. And now I know.

Thanks again to Ellen Parker for making my stories better, as usual, and then turning them loose in FRiGG.
